How to create an account from the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones

Certain procedures at the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones will require you to log in with your ClaveÚnica or to create an account. If you do not already have a ClaveÚnica, we will show you how to "create an account."

Step 1: Login

Go to tramites.serviciomigraciones.cl

Select the procedure to be completed. In this case, we are going to pick “Cálculo de Multa” (Fine Calculation). Click on “inicio sesión” (login).

Step 2: Create an account

You will find a box similar to the one shown in the image, which you must fill out with the following information: Name, Father's Last Name, Mother's Last Name (if you have one), Date of Birth, Country of Birth, and Email Address. Create an account with 8 characters. Then click the “Crear Cuenta” (Create Account) button to finish.

Step 3: Email validation

After that, you will receive a validation email to the email address you provided during registration. You must click the “Validar mi correo electrónico” (Validate my email) link.

Step 4: Account validation

If the registration request was successfully received, the system will notify you that an email was sent to verify the account.

Step 5: Account validated

Once your account has been validated, the system will redirect you to the SERMIG portal and notify you that it has been verified successfully (green box). You will also be able to view this status at any time, as shown in the light blue box.
