DOCUMENTS TO DEMONSTRATE INCOME:
In this article, we will show you the documents that can be used to demonstrate income to apply for the Residencia Definitiva.
EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
| Signed document identifying the worker and employer. It specifies the task to be completed, the remuneration, the schedule, and any other information required by the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones, if applicable. It is obtained directly from the employer after both parties sign it. A notary public must sign the contract if it was signed in Chile. If the contract was signed outside of Chile, it must be apostilled or duly legalized by the Chilean Consulate in the country of origin and the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Chile.

Certificate that shows continuity of employment
| Document that certifies your continuity of employment and the validity of the Employment Contract you have signed. This is issued by your employer and must be valid at the time of your application. It must be signed by a notary public.

AFP contribution history certificate
| Document certifying all the periods that have been paid in the country. It is issued by a Social Security Institution. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the document sent is not password protected.

Health Contribution History Certificate
| Document certifying all periods that have been paid in the country. It is issued by a Social Security Health Institution (FONASA, Isapre). IMPORTANT: Make sure that the document sent is not password protected.

2. HONORARIO (SELF-EMPLOYED WORKER) |
Certificado de inicio de actividades (Certificate of start of activities)
| Affidavit before the Internal Revenue Service (Servicio de Impuestos Internos), proving the beginning of any type of business or work that produces income in first or second category. It can be obtained by using ClaveÚnica at www.sii.cl.

Declaración de Impuesto a la Renta (Income Tax Return)
| Document summarizing all income received during the year. It can be obtained by using ClaveÚnica at www.sii.cl.

If the bills are issued electronically
| You must upload the annual report of receipts (Annual report of the total fees received. It can be obtained by using ClaveÚnica at www.sii.cl ).

If the receipts are analogous
| You must upload the monthly tax payments for the last 8 months. It can be obtained by using ClaveÚnica at www.sii.cl

Articles of incorporation and amendments (Optional)
| It must indicate the type of company formed, the line of business or economic activity to which it will be dedicated, the partners that will form it and their respective capital contributions. SII Public Deed, signed before a notary public.

Certificate of start of activities

Last 8 I.V.A Payments
| Last payments presented month by month on Form 29 of Monthly Declaration and Simultaneous Payment, in which monthly taxes are declared and paid, product of sales, purchases, exempt sales and exports. It can be obtained by using ClaveÚnica at www.sii.cl.

Last tax balance sheet of the company (Optional)
| Financial instrument for 1st category companies, which is used to display the list of total debits and credits of the accounts, together with the balance of each of them (either debtor or creditor). It is obtained from the Accounting Department or Accountant of the Company, with less than 1 year.

Last corporate and personal income tax return (Optional)
| Financial instrument for 1st category companies, which is used to display the list of total debits and credits of the accounts, together with the balance of each of them (either debtor or creditor). It is obtained from the Accounting Department or Accountant of the Company, with less than 1 year.

Certificate of Ownership or lease contracts (Optional)
| Signed before a notary public. The certificate of ownership is an authorized copy of a registration, which indicates who is the current owner of a property. The lease contract is an agreement between the owner of a property (lessor) and the person occupying the property (lessee), who through an agreement establishes the rules of use of the property, in exchange for a monthly payment called rent.

Proof of payment of municipal patents (Optional)
| Proof obtained through collection by Municipalities for the exercise of their commercial activity. It is obtained in the Municipality where the property is located. It must have less than 1 year.

Certificate of retirement or income received
| It must be valid and indicate the applicant´s condition of pensioner in the country of origin and the amount paid for such benefit. The document is issued by the corresponding consular entity or pension institution, must be apostilled or duly legalized by the Chilean Consulate in the country of origin and by the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Chile.

Affidavit of expenses
| It must be valid and certify that a person will bear the costs of another person in Chile. It must be requested before a notary public.

Proof of financial income of the provider
| Through documents such as Employment Contract, AFP and Health Payments, Receipt of the fees (honorarios), Tax Payments, Bank Transfers or money transfers from abroad, among others. It is obtained in the corresponding institution depending on the type of document chosen. In case it is a document issued abroad, it must be apostilled or duly legalized by the Chilean Consulate in the country of origin and by the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Chile.

Certificate of ownership
| Corresponding to a notarized copy of the inscription, which indicates who the current owner of the property is.

| Agreed between the owner of a property (lessor) and the person renting the property (lessee), in which the regulations of use of the property and the value of the rent are established. It must be signed before a notary public. Other documents (optional).
