-The Estampado Electrónico is a document that can be downloaded from the Tramites Digitales platform. It is available for all foreigners who have been granted a residence permit issued by the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones. The verification system is with QR code.

-With the entry into force of the new Immigration Law N° 21.325, it is no longer a requirement to register at the Policía de Investigaciones de Chile (PDI) to obtain an Identity Card. 

*From the moment you download your estampado electrónico, you have 30 working days to make an appointment at the Servicio de Registro Civil e Identificación to obtain your identity card.

Who is it addressed to?

To all those foreigners who have been granted a Residencia Temporal Permit.

*In order for dependents to obtain their estampado electrónico, the benefit holder will have to download it first.  

What do I need to apply?

You have two options to download the Estampado Electrónico:

With personal information:

-Identification Document used to apply for the application.

-Type of document. 

-Country of issuance.

-Date of birth.

With information from the resolution:

-Date of birth of the applicant.

-Nationality of the applicant.

-Date of resolution that granted the benefit.

-Number of the resolution that granted the benefit.

*The Temporary Residence permit must be paid.

How much does it cost?
There is no charge.
How long is it?
The Estampado Electrónico will be effective from the moment the document is downloaded. Prórrogas de visa (extensions), from the date established by Resolución Exenta (Exempt Resolution).
How and where do I apply?
To download your Estampado Electrónico, you must go to and select "Estampado Electrónico". Then you must click on "iniciar". You have two options to download it, one with your personal information and also with the information of your resolution.
