Description | This is a Residencia Temporal permit granted by the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones to foreigners looking to invest in Chile. |
Who is it for? | This permit may be requested by foreigners, legal representatives and persons engaging in managerial or senior management functions in a foreign company, who seek to invest in Chile for an amount equal to or greater than five hundred thousand USD, as long as such investment is aimed at the production of goods or services. Likewise, foreigners engaging in managerial or senior management functions and specialized technical personnel hired as dependent workers or to provide services in a company established in Chile, its capital or equity which is directly or indirectly controlled by a foreign investor holding at least 10% of the voting rights of the shares of the company or an equivalent percentage of participation in the social capital if it is not a joint stock company or in the equity of the company, may also apply for this permit. |

How long is it? | The temporary residence permit will be valid for up to two years. The permit will be effective from the moment the foreigner enters the country. |

Then you must select “Solicitud de Residencia Temporal para Extranjeros fuera de Chile”, complete the application form and upload the requested information. |
