The Ratification of a Residencia Temporal is aimed to those foreigners who have been granted a residence permit, and for some reason, did not download the Estampado Electrónico and wish to reactivate this process.


Reasons for not downloading the Estampado Electrónico:

-No payment was made. 

-The Estampado Electrónico was not downloaded before the deadline.

-The Prórroga de Residencia (Extension) granted has expired or the dependent's residence permit has expired.


If you happen to meet any of the reasons mentioned above, we provide you with the information on the requirements for you to reactivate the process. The documentation must be sent to Clasificador N° 8 Correo Central, Santiago, and mailed to the attention of the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones.



REQUIREMENTS:


For foreigners with Residencia Temporal that have not downloaded the Estampado Electrónico. 


-In the case of Professional or Technical Temporary Residents:


1. Identification document, legible and that allows to certify the identity of the applicant.


2. Letter explaining the reasons why the benefit granted has not been downloaded. The document must be the original, and it must include the applicant's signature notarized. 


3. Professional or Technical Degree, apostilled or legalized by the Chilean Consulate corresponding to the country where the document was issued and by the Ministerio de Relaciones de Chile.


4. Employment contract signed by employee and employer before a notary public, or otherwise, employment offer legalized by the employer before a notary public. Both documents must be original.



-In the case of MERCOSUR Temporary Residents:


1. Identification document, legible and that allows to certify the identity of the applicant.


2.  Letter explaining the reasons why the benefit granted has not been downloaded as of yet. The document must be the original, and it must include the applicant's signature notarized. 


 -In the case of Temporary Residents Vínculo con PEDE:


1. Identification document, legible and that allows to certify the identity of the applicant.


2.  Letter explaining the reasons why the benefit granted has not been downloaded. The document must be original, and it must include the applicant's signature notarized. 


3. Certificate that certifies the relationship of mother, father, child or spouse with the person who has the Residencia Definitiva. This document must be apostilled or legalized by the Consulate of Chile corresponding to the country in which the document was issued and by the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Chile.


In the case of Temporary Residents, vínculo con Chileno:


1. Identification document, legible and that allows to certify the identity of the applicant.


2.  Letter explaining the reasons why the benefit granted has not been downloaded. The document must be original, and it must include the applicant's signature notarized. 


3. Certificate that certifies the relationship of mother, father, child or spouse with the person who has the Chilean nationality. In case the relationship was formalized in Chile, the respective certificate issued by the Servicio de Registro Civil e Identificación must be presented. Otherwise, the document must be apostilled or legalized by the Chilean Consulate corresponding to the country in which the document was issued and by the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.


-For foreigners with residence as students that have not downloaded their Estampado Electrónico:


1. Identification document, legible and that allows to certify the identity of the applicant.


2.  Letter explaining the reasons why the benefit granted has not been downloaded. The document must be original, and it must include the applicant's signature notarized. 


3. Certificate of Enrollment or Regular Student issued by an educational establishment of the State or recognized by it, corresponding to the current academic year. The document must be the original and notarized.


-For foreigners who have a Residencia Sujeta a Contrato and have not downloaded their Estampado Electrónico but still maintain the contractual relationship. 


1. Identification document, legible and that allows to certify the identity of the applicant.


2.  Letter explaining the reasons why the benefit granted has not been downloaded. The document must be original, and it must include the applicant's signature notarized. 


3. Employment Contract, signed by the employee and employer before a notary public, which complies with the provisions of the Código del Trabajo and which includes the special travel clause. 


NOTE: If the Employment Contract was signed more than 3 months ago, a "certificado de vigencia de contrato" must be included, which must be signed by the employer before a notary public. The  document must be original.
